Please forgive my indulgence for sharing my journey while creating this piece. I’m not a writer but I hope I can convey my message clearly. This is such a joyful piece for me.
It all started the summer of 2021.
Our third family summer getaway to a very small cabin on a very small lake returned some huge moments.
Sunrise with my coffee and best friend in a kayak stealthily approaching this beautiful swan family.
The reflection of the fiery sunrise and grasses on the water.
It was so quiet we could hear the ripples in the water made by the paddle.
Sip, sip, sipping on our coffee, soaking up the new day before the rest come down to play.
Reflecting on the memories made yesterday and the promise today brings more.
Hoping we’re not disturbing the swans too much in our curiosity and awe.
Recreating the swan family that shared that morning with us took me right back to a wonderful visit with family.
Art attached to a memory is the best. Rooted in emotion, I hope this piece of art takes you somewhere wonderful as well.
